Chapter 2: Limits and Continuity

1.  Rates of Change and Limits:  This section includes a discussion of rates of change and instantaneous speed, an introduction to limits and their properties.

2.  Limits Involving Infinity:  This section is an introduction to the understanding and application of limits when they approach infinity.  In terms of graphs, this deals with the end behavior of functions.  We will also be exploring limits that don't exist or are infinite, and the asymptotes they are associated with.

3.  Continuity:  This section includes a discussion of the concept of continuity, including continuous graphs, asymptotes, points of discontinuity and other reasons for discontinuity.  The intermediate value theorem will also be introduced.

4.  Rates of Change and Tangent Lines:  Here we will be talking about average rates of change, the slope of a curve at a point, the equation of a tangent line to a curve, and the equation of a normal line to a curve.
